You can’t plan on an emergency happening, so it’s important you have the skills, knowledge, and ability to help someone in a medical emergency. Being First Aid Certified allows you to deliver care while waiting for trained medical professionals to arrive.
Excel Training Institute offers First Aid Training classes and certification for individuals looking to know how to step up in a medical situation and help possibly save someone’s life. Many injuries and medical situations happen at home or in the workplace, and with your first aid training, you can feel confident to manage an emergency.
First Aid Training includes:
- How to check the scene of the emergency
- When to call 911
- Basic first aid principles
- First aid skills for controlling bleeding and treating cuts, scrapes, bee stings, insect or snake bites, etc.
- The signs and symptoms of a heart attack, choking, a stroke, etc.
- How to administer CPR and use an AED
- How to treat sudden illnesses
- What to do if the person is breathing or not breathing
You’ll work with our instructors in hands-on situations to learn what to do in case of an emergency. If you’re a Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide, it’s critical to know first aid training so you can care for patients and help in a time of need.
Your First Aid Certification will need to be renewed, you’ll be able to refresh your memory and skills and stay up to date on the latest techniques. Our renewal classes are shorter than standard first aid classes.
